Falls's Bis (juiw-i- i ill - ll. rtrn-r- t ou-- i - Fa-i- ar There is a woman who lives at Alpine who owed another who lives at Woods Cross a debt of $30.00, and on the tenth of the present month (according to the formers statement) she placed the $30.00 in an envelope with a letter stating that she was sending the money but said nothing as to the amonnt, and she says she then sealed the envelope up, addressed it and gave it to the post master at Alpine and saw and the letter registered. When the letter reached its destination it was found to contain but $26.00. The sender claims that ten dollars was taken from the letter, while in the hands of the officers of the postal .detriment, and hints that it is her belief that it was done at Alpine. The letter was traced to its detination without being tampered with and receipts given to that effect by each of the postal authorities who handled the letter. The writer sap the person yesterday who received the letter, and asked her if the letter showed any signs of having been tampered with, when she received it. She answered no, and said there was a one dollar piece iu it and it bad worn a small hole in the corner of the and when asked if it was large enough for a person to extract money through she said it was not.
