By PETER B. KYNE Telephone 365 OwrizM Much has been said in conven- tions and on the streets by people who have heard of the bloody ejection of the B. E. F. from Anacostia flats in Washington, D. C.- , by regular army troops, and censoring authorities for using the army for this. An eye witness of the ejection stated that if there was any bloodshed when the cavalry arrived it was the cavalrymen and their horses who bled and not any member of the B. E. F. He stated that the cavalry advanced with orders not to draw arms and to hit only with flat of the saber. The chief of staff was among the onlookers with many in the intelligence service to see that orders were carried out. The cavalry was followed by small tanks, none of which rind a shot. All blood shed on the part of the B. E. F. was caused by the police. As members of the B. E. F. retreated either its members or revolutionary agents in the crowd set fin to the buildings for the purpose of destroying evidence of ammunition that had been smuggled into the barracks. The soldiers found, after all had been cleared, boxes of ammunition, pistols, dynamite and machine guns. The men presence of this material for waging war against the government was evidence that the intelligence service was riht in their knowledge of an uprising being planned and the necessity for immediate cleaning out of the flats. lowing: Misses Annis Brown, Florence Randall, Ellen Barker, Aliens Orton, Echo Vaughn, Mildred Barker, Myrle Stallings, Zelma Ririe, Lorene Barker, Mn.
