It is John Fords twenty-fourt- h production for Fox. an excellent -drama by James Gruen and Fred Stanley, based on the experiences of a New York patrolman in Europe. Cacdonald, who has appeared in many of Fords pictures in the last nine years, was elevated to stardom aa a result of his excellent and consistent wok under tho Fox banner. That is the situation confronting Walter, Clariea husband, in Domesprotic Meddlers, the Tiffany-Stah- l duction starring Claire Windsor which will be the feature Sunday to Tuesday at the Ogden theatre. Walter and Claire have been married just a year, and Claire and Walters partner, Lew, have never been very congenial. Suddenly a chance meeting, when Claire is a little peeved because Walter is rather stupid after too many drinks, makes Lew realize that his partners wife is one of the most beautiful women he has ever aeon. Becoming more infatuated as he weaves the skillful net of his flattering little attentions about the unobservant Claire, Iajw sets tho stage for a climax in his own apartment. Walter, meanwhile, overhears in their office the muchly embroidered version of a chance meeting which leaves him in no doubt as to Claires identity. To his suddenly suspicious mind a hundred corroborating incidents stand out, and when he starts with Claire for Lews apartment, where they are to dine, his hand closes convulsively over the automatic pistol in his tions never before used for motion pictures. The backgrounds lent themselves ideally for the improved method of color photography employed for the picture.
