Fabienne follows and enters the harem, which he has maintained in deference to custom. He dismisses the harem girls and he and Fabienne are united again. But there are further clashes between the two representatives of East and West, and Fabienne arranges with her friends to help her to escape from the palace, which leads to a tremendous climax, in which Fazil is wounded. The ending has an unexpected twist and is highly dramatic. Farrell makes a handsome sheik, one sure to flutter the hearts of flappers and older women as well. Miss and blonde is a Nissen, white-skinndecided contrast to the dark, bronzed Prince. Both give remarkable performances. The supporting company includes Mac Busch, Tyler Brooke, John Boles, John T. He should then lead tne ace erf diamonds and follow with the six of diamonds, trump-Ulin Ya hand with one of his two remaining trumps. Y should now lead nis last spade and trump in Za hand one of his three remaining trumps. Twenty years ago you could not find a Chinaman without a queue. Harold Lloyd has a sequence in his newr picture, his first of the sound era, which called for a Chinaman with an old fashioned queue. This could have been faked, perhaps, but Lloyd insists on the real thing. Search of Los Angeles failed to reveal one. It seems Chinamen can go to their celestial reward now, even if their heads are shaved. At last in San Francisco, one was found. Wang Lee is his name, he is sixty-fiv- e years old, and one of these days will get his first trip to Los Angeles, or any place else in a first class Occidental railroad train. Old Wang landed here in the gold rush days and has been rushing ever since for laundry. He is not greatly excited, however, about his forthcoming picture debut, wherein he differs greatly from so many Occidentals. William Powell, long rated as one of the great character actors of the silent screen, was signed last week to a new contract as a reward for his remarkable preformance in Paramount's first picture, Interference which had its New York premiere at the Criterion theatre last have been stripped of spades and monds. Only the club and heart suits are left. Z should now lead the jack of clubs and let B win the trick with the queen. No matter what B leads, Y Z must win the balance of the tricks. If B leads a dub, two of Ya dubs are good, and Z'a trumps will take the other two tricks. If B leads a diamond, Z should discard a club and trump in Ya hand with his last trump. In both instances, therefore, Y Z must win the remaining tricks and therefore score game and rubber. It is a very pretty illustration of the elimination play and should be closely studied. dia- MOVING PICT CUE D1UECTOH WEDS GIRL HE MET IN HONOLULU Robert Florey, moving picture dl rector, was making a film in Honolulu last winter. And Ailecn Dee, a society girl from Toronto, was out in the islands too for a winter holiday. The days were busy, but at night the director sometimes would go dancing to the whine of llawiian guitars on the cool hotel verandas or walk in the moonlight along the white beach. He met Miss Dee, and they became good playmates there in the evenings after work. So it came about that they were married last week at the Little Church Around the Corner.
