Members of ? their nde cub maie up the guest eve-lis- Why we can sell more for One Dollar: The buying power of a retail store regulates the retail price. The buying power of a chain of stores is larger, obviously, than individual stores and there- fore the selling price is lower. The buying power of the National Dollar Stores is tremendous. Entire manufact- urers' outputs are purchased; consequently the purchase price is a great deal less than when bought in the ordinary way. In the case of manufacturers who make several commodities with a varied price scale, the National Dollar Store can often secure a "flat" price on the entire stock, and thus buy at a low rate items which ordinarily retail for more than One Dollar and sometimes for Two Dollars and Three Dollars and more. Due to quick r (a term used among retail merchants meaning merchandise which sells quickly), the usual margin allowed by retailers to cover g merchandise is not included in the retail price at the National Dollar Stores. 3.
