GUTTER AND SIDEWALK PROJECT CROSSING FLOOD PLAINS AT FARMINGTON CREEK AT MX) NORTH Farmington City intends to construct curb, gutter, and sidewalk on the north and south sides of State Road 106 at approximately 600 North Main near the Farmington Creek bridge. The Utah Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the City as part of this project, intends to construct a pedestrian bridge across the north side of Farmington Creek at that location. The public hearing was held considering the proposed plan at the Farmington City Hall on February 5, 1997. No public comments were received to specifically address encroachment on the flood plain at the proposed site. There were no other alternatives presented at the meeting either by public or staff officials other than to build the foot bridge across the stream y on the north side of the to connect the sidewalks and pedestrian traffic at that location. There appears to be no other alternative in avoiding the crossing of the Farmington Creek channel.
