Terrell Lewis, now of Syracuse, and Shane Lewis, Kaysville, are in satisfying, well paying careers in diesel technology after attending the Davis Applied Technology Center. Terrell enrolled in the Diesel Technology Program during his senior year at Davis High School, and by graduation in June, 1991, he had a job as a diesel technician with Blind Brothers Construction in Salt Lake City, where he started at $.50 per hour. Hes now working at Rick Warner Truckland, making $1 1 per hour with full benefits. The company also pays foe employees to have con- tinual upgrade training, including training in Portland to test and certify in freight liner repairs. Terrell is now married and has two children. Im happy with my career choice and Im glad my training was done so quickly, he said. Ive had a much quicker increase in wages than most of my friends. Shane also enrolled in the DATC Diesel Technology Program during his senior year at Davis High.
