Where does the continued toleration of this type of communication fit into the plan of excellence that we all share for our youth? Recently I was asked to sign an agreement sent home with my son by a football coach which expressly forbid the use of vulgar and or profane language by football players. This is great in my opinion if enforced. What are we to think however, when a coach exempts himself from this same promise and the type of communication mentioned above flows from his mouth at our youth? What are our young people teaming from this seemingly double standard? Since you, the aforementioned school officials, have allowed this to become a public issue by your silence and unresponsiveness on the matter, I would appreciate a PUBLIC reply from any or all of you.
