Chase was born January 20 and weighed in at 9 lbs. 5 oz. and was 22 inches long. He was welcomed home by his two brothers Ryan, 4, and Matthew, 2. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Harward, Mr. and Mre. Gordon Kiesel, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Colby and Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Olsen, all of Salina. The presidency, JoAnn Shaw, Carol Jacobsen and Jackie Reynolds took the girls to visit the Mel Farnsworth home in Anabella, the DeMill home and the Mel Harris home in Glenwood, the Burke Johnson home in Aurora, the Don Holt home in Salna and the Marwood Hales home in Redmond. They all had an interesting day and a great time. The Aurora 1st Ward Boy Scouts went to Beaver on an overnight ski trip last weekend. Bob Hales and Larry Cosby chaperoned the boys and they all came home happy and healthy. Louis and Darlene Kjar are the parents of a new baby boy bom last week in Richfield. He weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. and will be named Joshua. The Girl Scouts held their party last Saturday night. They brought box lunches and auctioned off cakes. It was lots of fun for some and costly for others. There was a wrestling tournament held in Wayne County last Saturday. Bradley Gull, Ryan Sorenson and Brady Sorenson took first r, place. Mike Forbush, Ryan Tai and Brett Sorenson Weavert took 2nd place. Raylan Bennett and Billy Hides took third Daddy-Daught- er Otis Ramey Aaron, and Margie LeFevre, Elizabeth Evans Nielsen. He graduated from University of Utah College of Business in 1931 and returned to Salina where he worked in the First State Bank and was appointed as Salina City recorder. He taught chemistry, geometery and algebra at North Sevier High School for four years. In 1935 he became Sevier County Treasurer and moved to Richfield. He served as treasurer for 12 years. For 35 years he owned and operated Lynn C Nielsen Title and Abstract Co., and also operated a small farm and livestock business. He married Elaine Thompson, July 7, 1932, Aurora; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He has been active in the LDS Church, serving as Sunday School superintendent, counselor in the Richfield Second Ward bishopric, member of the Sevier Stake High Council and Sevier Stake Aaronic Priesthood advisor. At the time of his death he was high priest group leader in the Richfield First Ward. Mr. Nielsen was a member of Rotary International; was a charter member of the Richfield Jaycees; served as president,, vice president , and secetary of the State Association of County Officials. Survivors: wife, Richfield; daughters, Leslie Ann Ethington, Columbia, Mo.; Marsha Lynn Hansen, Orem; Winifred (Wini) Jensen, Highland; 12 grandc- hildren; three two brothers, sisters, Richard L., Salt Lake City; Roger E., Salina; Thelma Okerlund, Virgie Nielsen, both Salina. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Richfield First Ward chapel. Friends may call at Springer Mortuary, 260 North 400 West, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the ward chapel Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. He was born March 5, 1908, Salina, c to Hans Carland and Frances Juice. The women Kanosh, announce the marriage of their daughter Donna Kay to Steven Fred Mickelsen, son of Mr. and Mis. McKay Mickelsen, Salina. They were married February 11. The couple is living in Orem where Mr. Mickelsen is employed by Contract Caipets and Interiors. The new Mrs. Mickelsen is a 1982 graduate of Moffat County High School,. Craig, Colorado. She is a four year seminary graduate and attended Utah Tech. Mr. Mickelsen is a 1979 graduate of North Sevier High School where he was active in football and track. He served as the senior class vice President, FFA treasurer and FFA vice president and is a four year seminary graduate. He attended Utah Tech, and served a two year LDS mission in the Houston Texas mission.
