Show The Salina Sun Thursday, February 10, 1963 In accordance with the desires of the Patrol Leaders Council and under the direction of Chris Home the Senior Patrol leader the Patrol of Troop 636 was completely reorganized and renamed. The move was deemed necessary to revitalize the patrols and to make a more efficient use of the talent and leadership in the troop as a whole. The PLC also suggested certain rules of conduct to be accepted by the members which would 4bvem advancement and camping eligibility. They went to Fairview Sunday. Sherman and Carol Christensen and family also went and they visited Dick and Marilyn James and family for Marilyns birthday. The town was saddened with the passing of Morving Larsen, 85, who had lived in Redmond most of his life. He raised a large garden every year, even last year, and shared it with many people. He and Olga have been very active in ward activities and were always pleasant to be with. Russel named him Braydon. They hosted a dinner following. Also attending were Bishop Neal and Marcia Bosshardt and the Larry Bosshardts. Saturday. Maylen and Nikki Mickelsen, Alan and Diane Peterson, Carlos and Bonnie Peterson, Craig and Debbie Lund, Burke and Jolene Willardsen and Glendon and Raelyn Anderson and their families had hot dogs and hot chocolate. Sylven Christensen was taken to Hospital suffering with a blood clot in his leg. We send our best wishes to him for a speedy recovery. the Gunnison rt Mark and Michelle Ogden and family, Provo, came over the weekend to visit her parents, Dolph and Joyce Spencer. Mark went home Sunday and Michele and children stayed for a week. Merril and Ruby Smith, Taylorsville, stayed overnight Friday with the Evan Mickelsens. They hosted dinner Friday evening for them and Marwood and Maurine Hales. The Smiths were enrout to Arizona to spend a couple of months. They would be joining other retired couples who belong to a Good Sam Club. f. . pieced a quilt top.
