Show Seismograph Researchers Study Region's 'Rock 'n Talk' Show University of Utah earthquake research team has completed field studies in central Utah, listening to A 25, rock talk within fault zones between Richfield and Manti. The team, led by Dr. Walter J. How do You Carry Out Daily Chores? By Dr. Dale Nelson, Professor, Health, Physical Education and Recreation, Utah State University. The ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor and alertness, to engage in leisure pursuits and to e meet the stresses encountered in emergency situations is a pretty good assessment of physical fitness. But life is full of distractions that limit our capacity to achieve this modest level of fitness. Lets deal with a few of the less obvious distractions from physical fitness. Have you ever noticed when your personal space has been invaded you are likely to react with discomfort, anxiety, irritation, and at times, even with anger and above-averag- aggression? Arabasz says earthquake researchers have a two fold interest in central Utahs natural laboratory. First, seismic exploration by oil companies indicates geologic faults in the area have a more complicated subsurface than U column, and so on. Then, on still another, we have an envelope for financial stuff, such as bills to be paid, bank statements, envelopes, stamps, etc. Since there is absolutely no other place in our small apartment for even a mini office corner, I reserve the lower shelf of It Stations monitor such potentially seismographs set up during the summer field seasons fill in details needed to study earthquakes and locate their sources more accurately. geometry of U Other searchers participating In the studies were George Randall, Dan Rigdon, Jorge Peinado, Bill Richins, Erwin McPherson and Dale Julander. considerable to severe damage, have been recorded in central Utah. She supposed she couldnt possibly keep warm without heavier covers, so she added a quilt and heavy spread. Soon the blanket wouldnt heat anymore. What she didnt realize was that anything heavier than a sheet over an electric blanket can cause it to overheat and short circuit. This could even cause a fire. So, if you plan to get an electric blanket, condition youself to lightweight bedding. Otherwise, keep warm by piling on bedding. Many people, having become accustomed to heavy feel dont bedding, comfortable without it. William Denning Dear Vi: Here are a couple of hints for pie lovers. Dip the cutting knife in hot water and the meringue wont tear or stick. If you want to cut a pie in five even pieces, first cut a large Y. It will then be easy to cut the other two slices.
