Show The Salina Sun, November Former Salina Resident Dies W. Lee Williams, 75, former Salina resident, died Nov, 8, 1978 of an apparent heart attaek in a Price hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1903 in Craft, Texas, a son of Elbert and Minnie Pace Williams. He Marjorie Mickelsen Phone dan, Golden, Colo.; brothers, Glen and LeAnn Pickett had a baby girl Nov, 5, 1978 in the Gunnison Valley Hospital. The little miss weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. She has a sister, Misty. Her grandparents are Bronzell and Hula Pickett and Mr. and Mrs. Lt. Col. Lonnie Williams, Tucson, Ariz. ; Dick Williams, Hollis Williams; sisters, Manny and Virginia, all of California. Set vices were held Nov. 11 in the Mitchell Funeral Chapel, survives. Other survivors include daughters, Mrs. Barbara West, Mrs. Carol Peterson, Cheyen Price. Mike Robinson, Salina. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Jensen and family, South Jordan, were here at his mothers, Vontess, and hunting pheasants. Mrs. Thelma Jensen and her daughter, Mrs. Bob Nelson, were in Provo Friday to keep a medical appointment for her as a checkup from her recent surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Watters went to Provo Friday to keep a medical appointment for him. His leg, which is recuperating from recent surgery, is mending well. Owen and Elva Christensen trip. They enjoyed a two-wee- k flew to Pensieola, Florida Oct. 30 to visit their son and Mr. and daughter-in-law- , Mrs. Ryan Christensen. They drove one of Ryans cars back. When grains rice, wheat, corn, etc.) are refined, the highly nutritious germ and bran are removed. The germ and bran are fed to animals. What is left has a lower mineral, vitamin, protein, and fiber content than the whole grain. Enriching the flour or rice puts back three of the vitamins and iron, but the enriched product is still not as good as the whole grain food. Norman goes to school at Utah State and they moved to Logan from Centerfield. Kim and Carma Despam and son moved to Centerfield Saturday. They purchased a mobile home there. Scott Hansen, Salt Lake, was here all week. He works for Steven Roberts Plumbing. He was staying with his mother, Mrs. Lela Rasmussen. His daughter, Shelly, is going to NSHS. She is a sophomore. He will be bringing all his family here soon, and they will live in the home of Carlyle Bird. Debra Barney, daughter of Mrs. Lois Barney, of Mesa, Ariz., is staying with her grandmother, Lela, and working for the Turkey Growers Assn. Open house was held Nov. 14 from 3 - 6 p.m. for Annetta Nelson Humphrey on her 90th birthday. She was born in Redmond and liv'ed here for after her many years marriage. The open house was held at her daughters and home, Moroni and Vivian Jensen, and her other daughters, Donna, Shirley, and Joy, assisted. Mr. and Mrs. Ernel Christensen and Mrs. Alice Osman attended services for Ralph Bigger at the Peterson Mortuary Mon, Nov. 13. Mr. Bigger lived here a few years and moved to Elsinore after selling his home to Mrs. Osman. He then moved to Gunnison and to Ariz. for health reasons. Then he went to Utah Valley Hospital, and from there to a rest home in Springville. He came west from Boston, Mass, and while he lived here, he was always pleasant to meet. He lived alone. His sister, Agnus Bigger, came from Boston to attend the funeral. He was in the Eastside buried Cemetery in Salina. Keith Johnson and Sandra Poulson were married Saturday in the Richfield 7th Ward Church. Attending the wedding from here were: Mr. and Mrs. UDell Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Jensen, Kent Johnson and friend, Kay Busker of Gunnison, Mr. and Mrs. Jeroid Nielson, Mario Johnson, Kelly Johnson and his girl, Kathy Hermansen, Gunnison; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hales, and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mickelsen. Sandras mother, Mrs. Barbara DuBois of Bellevue, Wash., attended the wedding and is staying with her grandchildren while the newlyweds are on a to Southern honeymoon California. Keiths mother, Mrs. JoAnn Johnson, was hostess to a dinner at her home in Richfield following the marriage for all the family. Willis and Marge Poulson were in Salt Lake to visit their children, Mr. and Mrs. David Poulson and family. They had twin their daughter, Yvette, operated on for a growth on her face. She is doing fine. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Scott Larsen and baby in Provo, their daughter and piano-tuner- Call Helen at Utah Independent Bank or Arnold at Chevrolet daytimes; evenings call 529-326- 2.
