At Fridays performance Beacon Hill will be joining with the Shupe Family, a family of bluegrass musicians including popular singersong-wnte- r Ryan Shupe; founder of the Utah Old Time Fiddlers, Jim Shupe; and internationally acclaimed opera singer, Becky Shupe. 4 (center), and his brother Dallin, 2, get a smile from David Drtter Army bucket outside Fred Meyer in Ogden. SOME COINS AND A SMILE: Braden Macdonald, as the boys drop money into the Salvation Bells From 1 technique. Its great to see people so willing to give, and also training their children to have that same attitude, Kay said. Id do it again, but a warm, sunny day would be nice. I know that most of the funds go to help the needy, not to administrative costs, Allen said. And the Salvation Army will help anyone in need. Little children love to put money in the kettle, and some of them want to ring the bell, too, Allen said. Moraski said the Salvation army had received more than 1500 applications for holiday assis tance this year. Were no longer taking applications, but will still take some families on an emer- gency basis if they sign up through a major agency or are recommended to us by the police or fire departments or the local schools. Cori Connors, whose songs have been recorded by Linda Ronstadt and Chris LeDoux, among other recording artists, released her Sleepy Little Town Christmas CD in 1996. Both Beacon Hill concerts in Ogden will feature music from their two albums, as well as some new songs. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
