About halfway to Salt Lake City they met her son John who was taking a load of fiour to another train. They reached Salt Lake City Aug. 20. 1868. and left for Wellsvillc. By the time Lettice reached Utah her husband had died. The youngest living son built a large home w ith a room for his mother.
