The "swing era" tjpe dance band was formed to give local musicians wuh big band espen-cnc- e a chance to play for their enjoyment as well as for commu-- , nity and church dances. Junction City plays the music of Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basic, Woody Herman, Sammy Kay, Freddie Maun, Duke Ellington and other great swing era bands of the '30s, '40s and '50s. The band has many of the same arrangements and the in strumcntation ; to make these numbers sound authentic. Lrickscn has a professional background.
