The conference takes place in the Shepard Union Building, with registration beginning at 8:15 a.m. and concluding at 2:30 p.m. Cost of the symposium is $49. Participants have their choice of two morning sessions from 10:30 to noon: Ann Millner, WSU vice presi- dent for university relations, who will speak on Power Through Knowing and Understanding Your-- . self and Your People; or Scott Knell, business and applied technol- ogy services representative with UtahLink Technical Training, who will speak on Power Through Knowledge of the Internet. The measure, designed to allow unincorporated areas of counties fight off neighboring cities, would allow residents of unincorporated communities to petition for township status. The designation would provide threatened unincorporated areas with protected boundaries and control over planning.
