Eyre, author and Republican gu- bernatorial candidate, said the 1990s will be an interesting time for the state because Utah is unique in both its opportunities and problems. Eyre listed several of his ideas on what could be done to improve the state, all from his book "Utah in the Year 2000." He suggested using a volunteer system to help with social services, thus reducing the amount of funding those programs need. He says he has found people who will give hours of volunteer time and he had an answer on how to fund the organization of those volunteers. Calling the program "roundup, he said grocery stores could ask customers if they want to "round up their total bill to the next dol- Lakeside Review SCHOOL MENUS school Elementary lunch Kindergarten snack: milk.
