Last month, the officers and spouses pitted themselves against representatives from 40 other police agencies and won 34 medals at the 12th Annual Utah Police Olympics in Salt Lake City. Clearfield was the only Davis County agency competing in the event The competition consisted of a number of Olympic events but the Clearfield department capitalized on its favorite group recreational activity and earned most of its medals in bowling. It was a clean sweep for Marilyn Martin in individual bowling competition. Martin won a gold medal in her division for high scratch game, a gold for high scratch series, a gold for high handicap game and a gold for high handicap series. Sgt. Scott Gianehetta won a number of medals in both bowling and powerlifting. In bowling, his medals were: high scratch game, gold; high scratch series, gold; all events, gold; high handicap game, silver; high handicap series, gold.
