Following is a list of registration dates at several area schools. School starts Aug. 27 for schools on a traditional schedule. d schools were back in session last week. Clinton Elementary School will hold registration Tuesday. Aug. 7 from noon to 5 p.m. All students who will enter kindergarten or students new to the school are encouraged to register that day even if required immunizations or certified birth certificates are not yet available. During the first four days of school (Aug. 27. 28. 29. 30) kindergarten students will only attend school for an individual meeting with the teacher. A letter will be sent by the school informing the student of hisher scheduled time. Davis School District Cooperative Preschool program will students for the 1990-9- 1 school year on Aug. 9 a.m. between crafts and physical activities which develop coordination. The focus of the program is building a and desire to childs learn. Tuition for the cooperative preschool is $35 per month for a self-estee- m per week program. With our use of volunteers for special services, the cost of housing an inmate is a low $34 per day, much lower than the national average. Since the inception of the GED educational program last November, 15 inmates have successfully acquired their diploma and of this group, not one has been convicted of a repeat crime.
