Dennis and Theresa Dabling, owners of the Indian Village Restaurant in Clearfield Restaurant realizes dream WENDY SLADE made by family members. Our and his brother made the sign and he never made a sign in his life, but when you see it, youd think he was a professional, Theresa said. I cant say enough about the, city either, theyve been so supportive, and also the county, Theresa said. And the Dabblings praise doesnt end with that, they also feel that they have the best staff of employees they could ask Business Lakeside Review correspondent CLEARFIELD When Dennis and Theresa Dabling retired from Hill Air Force Base two years ago, they werent ready to give up working. So this ambitious couple jumped in head first son-in-la- Dennis and Theresa Dabling say that having the main dining room come together as well as it has is exciting, its a tribute to the feeling that we have had. But the dining room is not the only room the Dablings are excited about, the Wigwam room is a secondary dining room. The lounge that Dennis wanted to have where he could get together with his sports friends, Theresa said, has a dance floor, fireplace, and a billiards room. The Dabblings say that they owe alot of their success in getting the restaurant and lounge off the ground to family and friends. Theresa said, I feel so good about the support weve got from our children, theyve been helping us, and theyve been with us in this thing from day one. The Dabblings have six children who have helped with everything from designing menus and placemats, . to writing job descriptions. Even the sign at the front of the restaurant and lounge was on a new project. We started fulfilling a dream Dennis and 1 have had, Theresa said. The Dablings wanted to have a small neighborhood lounge much like one that Theresas parents owned in Pennsylvania, where she grew up. This dream sparked the Dablings imagination and it evolved into what it is today, Theresa said. Now, where a bunch of trees and some old buildings stood, a brand new restaurant and lounge stand waiting to serve new patrons. The restaurant and lounge are named Theresas Indian Village Restaurant and Dabs Crazy Horse Lounge. The choice of an American theme for the undertaking had a personal meaning for the Dablings. Weve always had a deep respect and admiration for the Indian people, Theresa said. It was just a natural thing to In-di- an w GET RID OF YOUR DANDELIONS Hi-Yie- ld Hi-Yie- ld for.
