We still thought we had a chance to win it, but everything had to go just right, said Davis coach Jeff Isom. However,. Davis lost a couple of pivotal matches that dropped them into a second place team finish, behind Viewmont. : 35-3- 1. In Region 1, Laytons Greg diviLoveless won the 1 sion and was named outstanding wrestler of the tournament. Team mate Darel Webb also placed first at 160, while Chris Arguello (103) and Tom Moore (145) also placed first for the Lancers. , Clearfields champions were Gino Thurgood (125), Eric Larsen (130), Dan Kopecky (135) and heavywieght Bill Garritson. - Region 1 Championship!
