Dean Howe, 41, of 5674 S 3100 W.t died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1987, at St. Benedict's Hospital of can-ce- r. He married Cheryl Austin on Nov.' 18, 1972, in the Ogden LOS Temple. He was the owner of the American Insurance Agency Inc. in Roy. . He served in the Army Reserve. 'He was a member of the LDS Church, serving as a high priest in the Roy 24th Ward. He had served as drama and speech director, counselor in the Young Men's program, Sunday School teacher, ward clerk and was serving as a counselor in the bishopric. He had served a 22 year mission in France. He graduated from Weber State Col lege with a bachelors degree in political science and was president of the acappella choir at WSC. Surviving are his widow of Roy, three daughters and one son, Cherlyn Howe, Michelle Howe, Julie Lynne Howe and Ryan John Howe, all of Roy. Also surviving are his mother of Roy, four brothers and two sisters, Virgil Howe, Slaterville; Richard Howe, Lindsay Howe and Robert Howe, all of Roy; Mrs. R. Asael (Barbara) Farr, Ogden; Mrs. Grant (Kathleen) Checketts, Roy. Services were held Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Roy 24th Ward Chapel with Bishop Dawn Gatherum officiating. Interment in the Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Amerian Cancer Society. Funeral directors were Myers Mortuary of Roy.
