The Lancers finished the year with just four losses, but three of them came in Region play. Bonneville finished the season undefeated in first. Box Elder placed second, Roy was 21-- 6 Highland converted on both opportunities, which both began around the Dart 20. Davis was down 14-- 0 before they had run four downs and Highland never let up. Clearfield fielded a young team that was strong defensively, but occasionally erratic on n post-seaso- 7, 22-2- ; ; 1. The Falcons beat some of the areas best teams, with wins over both Layton and Davis, but the Falcons could not make the state playoffs. The difference between the two teams was not as great as the score indicated, but Highland took advantage of early Davis mistakes and ran away ar snow and a Bonneville deaction at Rice Stadium.
