Show at Contests Jobs Daughters Win Local Members of Bethel No. 15, International Order of Jobs Daughters, won several awards at the State Rally held on April 4 in Salt Lake City. All the members of Bethel 15 competed in choir, skit, and drill 12-1- competitions. Kirsten Widner and Dawn Kerschner were selected to be part of the opening necrology ceremony. Classes Set FARMINGTON Davis County Mental Health will be offering assertiveness training courses for adults and teenagers beginning May 14. These courses are designed to increase the ability of the participant to appropri- ately express himself and to communicate in a more direct and open way. During class time, instruction is received in such assertive behaviors as saying no, coping with criticism, making requests, expressing feelings, handling anger, or anxiety, and giving and receiving compliments. Issues discussed vary depending on the age group of the class involved. The youth class (for ages 12 to 17) wili begin at 5 p.m. and last until 6:20 on Tuesday evenings. The adult class follows at 6:30 and continues until 8:30 p.m. The classes will meet for eight weeks, and the cost per person is $32. There will be a rebate of $16 offered to individuals who attend all eight sessions.
