He said the area was used for drug transactions as well as a convenient place for students to use tobacco and alcohol products. Despite efforts of the school to keep students out of the area during school time, Poore said several students had been arrested at the site for their involvement with drugs, tobacco and alcohol. He asked the city to see that the property, which is owned by Lynn Wood, be cleaned up, providing a service to the students and the community. LAYTON Vacant property east of Layton High has been called an attractive nuisance by Ross Poore, a vice principal at the school, and the city has been asked to see that the ground is cleaned up. Following a visit by a school representative to the city, a letter was forwarded to the city council describing the situation as an problem.
