They visited many homes and presented programs of good cheer. Early Christmas morning they received a telephone call from their son, Elder Ray Lynn Hurst of the Maryland-DelawaMission. Goshen, Butler family, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Miller were happy to have their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Del Jay Christensen and two children from American Fork call in for a visit with them on Christmas. and Mrs. Vaughn Davis and her and Mrs. Afton Haskell and children, Karen, Shawna and Chet and their two married daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Coray from Spanish Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thomas and small son, Terry, from Genola, went to Nephi on Christmas Day to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Shaw to join with their mother, Mrs. Lillie Shaw and their aunt, Mary Shaw, Mr. and Mrs. Deloy Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Frampton and four children, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Broadhead and four children, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Shaw and son, Merrill, the host couple and children, Christine, Suzanne and Kirk, for Christmas. They enjoyed an afternoon of visiting and opening prsents. The Wilson family the Lloyd LeFevre family and the Hofeling grandchildren were overnight guests at the LeFevre home and visited there on Saturday returning home Saturday night. Mrs. Beatrice Y. Moore who came on Wednesday and visited with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George LeFevre, for a week spent Christmas with them and enjoyed the Christmas party with the family. Saturday afternoon the grandchildren of and Mrs. George LeFevre had a very thrilling experience and a fun time when their grandfather took them sleigh riding. Joining with them for sleigh riding were four cousins of the Monte Wilson children, Nancy, Billy, Bart and Susan Wilson from Payson, children of Mr. and Mrs. Sherol Wilson. Armenella Elmer Funeral services for Armenella (Nellie) Gardner Elmer, 83, Payson, who died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1970, in an Orem rest home, were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Payson First-Fift- h LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Payson City Cemetery under the direction of Rigby Mortuary. Mrs. Elmer was born Aug. 12, 1887, in Indianola, Sanpete Co., to Henry E. and Mary Rosetta Peterson Gardner. She married Arthur Lee Elmer on Aug. 5, 1905; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he died in December, 1963. Mrs. Elmer was active in the LDS Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher for 35 years. She also belonged to the DUP. Survivors include three sons and one daughter, A. L. Elmer, St. George; Mrs. Elgie (Edith) Kay, Las Vegas, Nev.; E. Leon Elmer, Orem; DeMar Elmer, Pay-so- n; 14 grandchildren; 32 three three sisters, Mrs. iwarrion (Sylvia) Black, Payson; Mrs. Della Spencer, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Daisy Ferris, Springville. One grandson,- Sp2 Donald Allbe who is stationed in Germany with the US Army sent greetings and wished he was here. Mrs. Iva Nay was proud and happy to have all her family home on Christmas Eve. Real joy came as each grandchild, Russell and Kathlene Nay of Orem, Dick David and Diane Peterson of Provo, Margo Nay of Spanish Fork and Catalina and Clifton Leyva of Payson presented a program of music, dancing, story telling and poems. Dinner followed by exchanging of gifts. The Christmas season was saddened for Mrs. Nay as she received word on Christmas of the accidental death on the freeway of her cousin, Mr. Arden Taylor. DeHart home were Mr. George B. Russell of Ogden, DeHart, Mr. and Mrs. David and daughter, Gayle and Mr. William DeHart of Logan. Christmas is for memories. Former residents with their children, residing in the area, came to be present for the Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brown greeted family members at a dinner Christmas night. Present were her mother, Mrs. Violet Gold; her brother, Demoin Gold and a friend, Miss Diane Barnett. Following the dinner the children played with their toys as Demoin showed slides of his mission. They also received a telephone call from Mr. and Mrs. Mike Pace from Home for Christmas were Mr. and Mrs. Chad (Deona) Green of Salt Lake and Carol Ann Jackson who is attending Snow College at Ephraim.
