The young couple have both graduated from Payson High School and are fourth year LDS Seminary graduates. Miss Tischner was active as a cheerleader her sophomore year and served as drill mistress of the drill team while a senior. She was also chosen to reign as Santaquin City Queen for the year 1967. Miss Tischner is presently attending Weber State College where she is studying business. Mr. Wilson is a sophomore at the University of Utah in the field of computer science. They plan an August Temple wedding. San-taqu- Miss Barron was graduated from the Payson High School and the L DS Seminary. She attended the Utah State University for one year. Miss Barron attended Dixie College this past quarter, M r. Kerby is also a graduate of the Payson High School and the LDS Seminary. He has attended the Brigham Young University for three years and will continue his education after marriage. This month all of us, whatever the date of our birth, share the birthday of a new decade, the 1970s. We eagerly look forward to successful and dramatic new horizons. Many of the happenings we cannot foresee but of those directly within our vision is the forthcoming Founders Day observance of the PTA, to be held Feb. 19th, at 8 p.m. in the Payson Senior High School Auditorium. This year marks the 73rd anniversary. The PTA is an organization designed with the youth of our community in mind. It is the hope of the PTA here in our town to remain an effective leader in forwarding this great work. We would like to invite the entire ty to share this night with us as we celebrate the founding of this great organization. We have made some outstanding plans for the evening with every school being asked to participate. Come and see how this work contribute to the educational endeavors of our children. We can assure you a very worthwhile and entertaining evening. This week we would like to introduce the following schools and describe their part on the program: Peteetneet School: PTA President Mrs. LuDean Haskell and Principal Powell have selected Mr. Hudsons 5th grade class to represent their school. They wiU perform with the yuke. com-imni- t CAMP SEAGULL Daughters of Utah Pioneers, CampSea-gul- l, met Thursday afternoon at the home of Madoline Dixon, with Capt. Jeanne Lundholm in charge. Prayer was given by Fay Russell and the pledge to the flags was led by Ella V. Hutchinson. Mrs. Hutchinson gave a history of the Daley family and told of their origin in Ireland. She displayed a recent newspaper clipping in which was printed an article on the Daley Castle, built in 1120 in Ireland. The castle was listed for sale, and the paper stated that present owners hoped that a Daley would purchase it, since it had been in the hands of the family since the year it was built. The lesson, A Journal of William Wood, Pioneer, was given by Reba Olsen. Group singing was accompanied on the piano by Madoline Dixon, who also played organ selections. Refreshments were served to 13 by Mrs. Dixon assisted by Marie Mendenhall and Pearl Blaine. SEGO LILY CMP Daughters of the pioneers, Sego Lily Camp held its monthly meeting January 16th at the home of Florence Bryson. Captain Dorothy Christensen conducted the meeting. The prayer was offered by Stena Daniels. The salute to the flag was led by Leah W aters. Singing was led by Dorothy Christensen Florence Bryson read a history of the early days of Payson. Klea McClellan read a history of her father, Frederick WiUiam Wilson, a native pioneer, born in 1863, which was written by her sister, Lenore W . Huff, of Orem. Corner Mrs. Idonna NOTES- Mrs. Thelma Lance day that started outtobeareal dreary one, was brightened for me when the mail came last Friday. I received a letter from a reader in Chico, California requesting that I repeat the February Holiday recipes featured in my column last year. I have had several phone calls and a few letters in response to my statement that I would refeature these recipes upon request. The letter I am referring to, was from Mrs. V. Lim, and I at first did not recognize the name. Upon reading the contents of the letter, I found that it was from an M school friend that I have not seen or heard from since we left school. It was, to my delight, my old friend, Lillian Patten. I will be more than happy to see that these recipes reach her via this column. Dissolve gelatin in hot water; add reserved fruit cocktail syrup, maraschino syrup and lemon juice. ChiU tiU partially set. Soften cream cheese; add mayonnaise and beat till smooth. Add to gelatin mixture, mixing well. Stir in fruit cocktail, marshmallows, and cherries. Fold in whippedcream. Tint pink with red food coloring. Pour into two 2 12 size cans. Freeze several hours or overnight. Use can opener to cut around bottom of the can. Push the salad out. Slice and place on lettuce or endive. Top with Gelatin Heart Cutouts. Makes generous servings. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Pulver (Carol Jean Oberg) - ENIMIll! er recipe French Pastry Frosting Toasted Coconut Chopped W alnuts Beat egg whites till foamy. Gradually beat in 12 cup sugar. Continue beating till very stiff and glossy. Sift remaining dry ingredients into another bowl. Add salad oil, half of the milk and the vanilla. Beat 1 minute at medium speed on mixer or 150 strokes by hand, scraping sides and bottom of bowl constantly. Add remaining milk and egg yolks. Beat 1 minute longer, scraping bowl constantly. Gently fold in the mixture with down, up, over, motion, turning the bowl. 15x10x1 jelly Pour batter in paper-line- d roll pan. Bake in a moderate oven 350 until done. Leaving a 12 inch to 34 inch border of cake. Quickly spread frosting on top layer. Immediately add Chocolate spiral. Start at the center of the cake. Using a teaspoon, pour chocolate syrup from the to foun a spiral. tip in a thin stream Quickly run the tip of a spatula from the center of the cake to the edge. Pulling each band of chocolate slightly. Repeat, making 16 to 24 spokes, evenly spaced. (Wipe spatula with a damp cloth after each stroke.
