We are learning many things that we did not know about. We have learned to make many things. The Fashionettes would like to welcome their new member, Debbie Johnson, into . their club. , Rosalind, We have lived in Utah for a little more Ilian a year. It has been a problem to me liecause I am not of (lie predominant faith yet neillier am I a parlier. It seems to me dial in Utah there are two kinds of people cookies. Our leader is Ruth Stewart, The name of the girls in our club are: Gayle Porter, president; Carolee Jewett, Jeannie Taylor, secretary; Robyn Hurst, reporter; Karen Andrews, demonstration chairman; DeAnn Bjarnson, game chairman; Susan Carlisle, song leader; Sandy Powell, health chairman; Rhonda Stewart, safety chairman; Jana Jensen and Kary Shelley, The Fashionettes Club held their opening meeting Tuesday, June 3 at 11a.m. The meeting was held at the home of Ida Francom, The following officers were elected: President, Sandra D. Smith; Betty Ann Haskell; Secretary, Doris Kenison; Treasurer, Denise DeGraw; Re- Rosalind Rite The name of our chili is the Eleven Nifty Noodles, We have been meeting one day a week for several weeks. We are learning how to cook. It has been fun learning how to make sandwiches, nourishing milk drinks, easy desserts and Linda Haskell becomes bride of Mr. Lynn Coray in Salt Lake Temple Solemn rites performed June 6th in the Salt Lake LDS temple united in marriage Miss Linda Haskell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Afton R. Haskell, and Lynn Coray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale P. Coray, all of Payson, The young couple was honored at a reception that evening in the Payson First-Fift- h LDS ward church, where a color scheme of pink and yellow was chosen for appointments. The bridal party received guests before a backdrop of sheer white Austrian drapery with pink lighting. Arrangements of pink roses were at either side. For her wedding the bride chose a full length traditional wedding gown fashioned with long sleeves that tapered to a lily point over the wrists. Ruffles in the sides of the skirt met at the back to form a train. Her veil of illusion was caught into a crown of pearls. She carried a white orchid combined with yellow rosebuds. Attending the bride were her sisters, Mrs. Gordon, Thomas, Miss Karen Haskell and Miss Shawna Haskell, and also Miss Janna Daniels. They wore pink lace gowns with net hats and carriedbouquets of longstemmed yellow roses. Joy Argyle was flower girl and Chet Haskell, the brides brother, was her attendant. Mothers of the couple chose full length pink gowns accented with orchid corsages. Allen Coray stood as best man to his brother. Charles Tate was usher. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Don Coray were foyer receptionists. The guest book was attended by Nancy Holt and Colleen Holdawny. Guests were served from a buffet table decorated with roses and lighted tapers, centered with a three-tiere- d wedding cake that rotated on its stand. Lorraine Barney was serving area host, with Betty Ann Haskell, Stephanie Tate, Denice Coray and Paula Wick assisting. Mrs. Allen Coray supervised the gift arrangement, assisted by Mrs. Jay Peterson, Mrs. Ivan Haskell and Mrs. Earl Gifts were carried by Stephen Shaw. Peterson, Wendie Coray, Merrill Shaw and Elizabeth Tate. Guests of note included grandparents of the couple, Mrs. LillianShawofNephi; Mr. and Mrs. C. Leroy Haskell, Mr. and Mrs. Sid Coray, Payson. The bridal pair honeymooned at the Grand Canyon and Zions Canyon and are now at home at 562 North 200 East, Provo. Both are students at Brigham Young University, from which the bride will receive her degree in August. Mr. Coray recently returned from an Eastern States LDS Mission. something they have meetings or church socials. They are nice to visit with, hut their whole social life is taken up by church. They invite me but Im happy witli my church and I have held hack from attending theirs. Where can I go for fun and friends? An Outsider Dear Outsider, I live in Utah and I am of the predominant faith. You will have to take my word as you will. I am very sympathetic to The L.D.S. church is a your problem. social church and many of their activities do not include any religious doctrine. They open and close with prayer but their is no doctrine preached. If your church does not strongly object I can see no harm in joining in the fun. If your church does strongly object you may look for friends in PTA, volunteer nursing, literary clubs, and you might check into the civic clubs available in your town. Im sure there are and many fine people around. You might even try inviting your L.D.S. friends to corne to your church socials with you. Crane Two shades of pink were combined with white as decor for the reception at Payson West Ward church, which honored Donna Ann Seat and Steven F. Crane following their marriage at Manti LDS temple on Sat- OH TARGET BERY 71M urday, June 7. carried a bouquet of pink roses centered with a white orchid. Bridal attendants were Mrs. Monte Chamberlain, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mrs. Gail Anger, Salt Lake City, both sisters of the bride; Mrs. Gordon Lewis, Eatontown, New Jersey, the bridegrooms sister; and Mrs. David Broadbent, Payson. They wore floor length dresses of light pink cotton with dark pink ribbons and carried sheath bouquets of pink and white gladioli. Mothers of the couple chose pink floor length dresses with pink cymbidium orchids for accent. Brent Crane was best man to his brother and Frank Seat was usher. The bridal party received guests before a white corrugated backdrop trimmed with gold rope. Pink gladioli arranged in large cherub vases stood at either end. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Seat were foyer Sharon Bowen and Julie receptionists. Cheever attended the brides book. Elizabeth Seat, Carolee Seat and Ursula Wayman arranged the gift display. Gifts were carried by Teresa Seat, Kerrie Ellen Seat and Cindy Seat, nieces of the bride. Those who served were Diane, Debbie and Christine Seat, also nieces of the bride. 'The newlyweds are making their home in Payson. Both are students at Brigham The new Mrs. Crane Young University. is in her third year in elementary education and Mr. Crane is a senior in the account ing department. , Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ray Windley (Connie Crook) A June seventh reception honors Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ray Windley The new Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ray Windley received guests at a wedding reception given June 7 in the Payson First-Fift- h LDS ward church, following their marriage May 17 at Elko, Nev. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Crook of Payson. Mr. Windley is a son of Mr, and Mrs. Rue Windley, also of Payson. A color scheme of blue and white was chosen for decor for the reception in the church, where a background for the bridal party was created with a gold screen, fronted with wrought iron standards holding a pair of wedding bells, arrangements of summer flowers and yardage of draped tulle. The bride was attractively gowned in a white lace wedding dress styled with long sleeves, batteau neckline and full length skirt. A dainty crown held her veil of illusion and she carried a bouquet of blue carnations. Bridesmaids were Sharon Crump, Pauline Crook, a sister; Susan Haskell, and Vicky Crook, also a sister of the bride. They wore pale blue dresses and carried blue and white carnation bouquets. Mothers of the couple also appeared in blue dresses with corsages of blue carnations. : Bobby Reynolds stood as best man. Attending the brides book were Mrs. Bobby Reynolds and Mrs. Frank Ballard. Foyer hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gull. Mrs. Francis Haskell was hostess in the serving area, with Jewel Kester, Susan Carter and Tereasa Barney serving. The gift display was arranged by Mrs. Danny Lee and Mrs. Brad Finch. Gift carriers were young Danny, Billy and Kent Haskell, Wendy, Ross and Kent Gull. Let-u- n'n if Mr. and Mrs. Eldredge Snyder of 387 North 2nd West, Spanish Fork, will celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Monday, June 23, 1969, Mr. Snyder was the former owner and manager of the Snyder Motor Company in Payson. The couple have two sons, Burt E. also of Spanish Fork and William M. of Murray and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the couples home where they will be entertained informally. SANTAQUIN GOOD ' COOKS 34 1 Wonder what to serve when you have friends in? Try some of the following recipes for a quick and easy change. BUSY DAY CASSEROLE Serves 2 8 cups broken noodles - or 1 large teaspoon dry mustard Cook the noodles according to directions. Drain and add to all other ingredients evcept potato chips. Pour into a casserole. Top with the potato chips. Bake about 20 minutes at 400 degrees. ' MEAT LOAF 2 pounds ground beef 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 minced onion about 15 minutes before serving. EASY SCALLOPED POTATOES Boil whole potatoes in salted water until barely tender. Cut into cubes and put in casserole. Make a sauce of canned cheese soup diluted with milk and seasoned with salt and pepper to taste. Pour over the potatoes, mix lightly, dot with butter and bake until piping hot in a 350 degree oven.
