The farm Bureaus second resolution is: Wlule we recognize that the State Tax Commission has the power to make aduistments in ttie valuation of property forttie purpose of equalization, we resent its evercise of this jiower to apply to only two communities as is the case in 1967. We would support the night of the Tax Commission to make minor adjustments in selected cases as they are observed but we object to major adjustments or blanket raises of projiertv in limited areas at any given time." Ttie bureau will support the passage of the five amendments to the Utah Constitution, which will appear on the 1968 ballot. Tbev are: To provide for the e'emjition of inventories from proerh tax. 2. To provide a system for assessing farm land on some other basis than values based on sales of commercial or industrial development. 3. To provide lor a method of retiring judges. 4. To establish annual sessions of Legislature. 5. To provide tor increased pay to legislators but to keep the right to pay increase within the constitution. The fourth resolution insists the state's effort toward financing education should tie in the area of income tax.
