Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meredith and daughter Paula left Thurs. evening for Ririe, Idaho, where Paul will teach in the Ririe High School. Rudy Ekins called his family Saturday evening from Denver, Colo, to tell them that their horse Beaux Pieds, had won a starter allowance race earlier that afternoon. He was especially pleased because the horse had run a mile and a quarter and was only four fifths of a second off the track record. This is Rudy's first year as a licensed trainer. Mr. and Mrs. Creg Wayman attended the UV1DA breakfast at the BYU on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Rindlis-bache- r, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Meredith, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Ahlstrom of Whittier, Calif, and Mrs. Ruby Meredith attended the Seniors Banquet Wed. evening at the BYU. The West Ward Elders Quorum held their annual summer party Tues. evening at the Pay-so- n City Park. A ham pot luck dinner wasenjoyed by thirty five Mr. Elmo Carlisle was chairman of the party. CWO Dale L. Jensen and his wife Janice and three children visited with Mrs. Jensens parents Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hanson as they were enroute to their new home in Arizona. Mr. Jensen recently returned from a year of active duty in Viet-NaMrs. Jensen and family lived in Provo during this time but will be with Mr. Jensen at his new assignment. Mrs. Richard Holmen and four children from Walnut Creek, Calif, made an overnight visit with Mr. and Mrs. Creg Wayman. Janet Holmen, their daughter, is attending the Ronnie and Donald Whytock, children of Mrs. Lynn Jenson of Salt Lake are enjoying a five day vacation on the farm with Mr. and Mrs. Oran Finlinson and family.
