Coombs Sam Elton, Mrs. Ruth Draper and Virginia Roberts visited in Salt Lake with a sister Mrs. Dorothy Button, who has broken her leg. Mrs. Helen Backman entertained members of the Elite Club at her home Friday afternoon. Buffet luncheon was served and progressive games played. Prizes were won by Mrs. Lee Christiansen, Mrs. Aileen Wall and Mrs. Howard Holla-da- y. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thomas and children, Mr.and Mrs. Floyd Nelson and girls and Mr. and Mrs. MiltonThomasandson Jack were fishing at Strawberry on the 24th. An open house wedding reception was held Sat. night for Sara Jane Chadwick, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reed Chadwick, Santaquin, and Mr. David Kent Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Phillips of Vallejo, Calif. Hostesses to the event were Mr. and Mrs. Neil Van Ausdal and Mrs. Orval Hallett. Her husband is also employed in Salt Lake and they will make their home from Id on News of Servicemen Seaman Jerry M. Tanner, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Tanner of Route 1, Box 21, Payson, Utah, has reported for duty at the Naval Support Activity in DaNang, Vietnam. The activity was established to meet increased requirements for combat logistic support of operations in Vietnam. Approximately 8,000 Navy officers and men are being assigned to the activity. Their tasks will include offloading ships and handling supplies from razor blades to aircraft fuel and lubricants, and provisions of all kinds, through the port of Da Nang and other beaches from the demilitarized zone in the north to Chu Lai in the south. rs, Miss Maurine Hall of here and Mrs. Shirley Meservy of Provo returned home Tuesday from a flight to California where they spent an emoyable weeks vacation. Eight members of the Neighborhood Club met at the home of Mrs. Eldora Childs where luncheon, social chat and sewing was enjoyed by the group. Mrs. Inez Kay was hostess to the 500 Club at her home Tuesday night. They took his parents and her father, Vern Johnson for a ride in Huntington Canyon and over the Skyline Drive. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Peery and daughter, Susan and friend Sharon Brown, recently returned from a vacation trip. They visited Bryces canyon, the North Rim of Grand Canyon and with relatives at Panquitch. Dan came to Utah to attend his class reunion at Spanish Fork. Mrs. Addie Wilson has to Payson after a two months visit on the west coast.
