Show West Mountain News BY RUBY MEREDITH Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Stewart of Calgary, Canada, spent three days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Gold. On Wednesday the Golds and Stewarts attended two sessions at the Manti Temple. Richard Dean Rothe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rothe, left Wednesday by plane for Fort Bliss, Texas, where he will serve in the U. S. Army and receive his basic training. Mr. and Mrs. Rothe accompanied him to Salt Lake. Elder Steven Farr, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Farr, returned home Wednesday morning after completing a mission in the South East Mexican Mission. Steven was met at the Salt Lake airport by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. AlvinSchramm of American Fork announce the arrival of a new son on Jan. 6 at the American Fork HospitaL Mrs. Schramm was formerly Betty Jean Tanner. Grand- parents are Mrs. Erma Schramm and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Tanner. Mrs. Clifton Nay and son Earl attended Sound of Music" at a Salt Lake theatre Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Morten -sen received word this past week of the appointment of their son, Jerry, to the Cleveland, Ohio Stake High Council. The Mortensens have two daughters and one son. Mrs. Mortensen was formerly Lorraine Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold D. Jones. She relatives. urray. Luther Carlisle celebrated his 73rd birthday at a family dinner Tuesday evening at a Spanish Fork cafe. Centerfield Monday. attended funeral services for a friend, Leon Hiatt. She also Harold Williams underwent surgery at the St. Marks Hospital last Wednesday. Mrs. Williams is presently staying with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Martins at M of Jerome, Idaho, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jed Greenhalgh. Rinda is a graduate of the Spanish Fork High School and LDS Seminary and has attended Snow College. She is employed at the present time in Spanish Mrs. Florence Gillespie, Salt Lake City, formerly of Eureka, is visiting in Payson with her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Nelson. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nelson and children and Jack Thomas visited at Salt Lake last week. Mrs. Lavon York and Mrs. Ncdrus Wall from Santaquin visited at Orangeville, Calif., for a week. Genola ladies, Mrs. Two Clara Clark and Mrs. Zada Livingston, have both been in the Provo hospital for observation and tests. The Birthday Club entertained Mrs. Rulon Finch at her home in Goshen last Saturday evening. Supper was served and cards were played.
