Utah County is one of the counties in Utah selected to use a new method of obtaining field acreage for farms participating in the wheat, feed grain, or sugar program. According to Claude Hunting, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation County Committee, in the pus. a reporter has visited the farms and measured the crop acreages. Under the new method called Compliance by the faimer will file a report of acreage at the ASCS county office. Each participating farmer will receive photo-copic- s of his farm. This photo-cop- y will show the boundry lines and fields in the farm. Mr. Hunting said that it is the responsibility of each farnur to bring the photo-cop- y to the ASCS County Office. The faimer then will point out the acreages cropped and diverted under the programs. This new method of determining acreage will result in a big savings on the operation of farm programs, the Chairman said. in the 465-208- 3.
