The earth is beginning to bud again and to bring forth the eternal signs of the power of Deity. Spring is a wonderful time of the year. Lets begin to put the plans which we E Don Kay, President of the Company has been assisted by Clifford Smith and Virgil Taylor, board members, in plan- ning and implementing the project. Gilbert Searle, SCS Engineer from Provo, has been instrumental in the design work. There are many advantages to the proposed system change. Among these are greater water use efficiency; safety to the irrigator who will not have to cross the y to take his stream of water; complete control of the water at any given place down the pipeline, and accurate of the streams as they are delivered to the farms. This system should be an to other companys in the Nebo out the developed through winter into practice on the land on our farms. Conservation of the Natural Resources with which we have been so bountifully endowed. Howard Roper Engineer Service at Payson, has kept very busy this winter surveying and designing an extensive and complicated renovation of the Summitt Creek Irrigation Company of Santaquin. y The new which will bisect the community of Santaquin has necessitated a complete change in part of the Companys system. Approximately 6500 feet of pipe line will replace about 11,000 feet of open ditch. Much more efficient use of the available irrigation water should result;. Ditches in the past have been underlain with gravel and water loss has been high. Better control of the water and better distribution of the water will be possible through the new -- free-wa- sub-divisi- eye-open- er SCD. Leo Banks, President of the Spanish Fork West Fields Irrigation Company states that the company plans to install three sections of lined canal this year: 3000 feet near Rex Thomas home in Spanish Fork; ."000 feet on the Bill and Everett Hansen farms in Palmyra and about 5000 feet on the Den- Free-Wa- Thursday, April DISTRICT mark Ditch north of Fork.
