Mrs. Kelly Armslronj and family from San Diego, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Thorald Rollins and family from Pamona, Calif, and David Sorenson from Lovell, Wyo., visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Oberg last week. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Spot-te- n and family visited at Ely, Nevada, and Lemans Cave last week. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Allstrom and family from St. Johns visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bale last week end. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thomas and baby from Logan are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gunnard Johnson for the week end. Mrs. Alpha Balle spent last week in Salt Lake and vicinity. She visited with her son, Bob and family at Kearns and another son, Lynn and family at Granger. A luncheon was given in her honor along with other friends at the home of a sister, Mrs. Howard Riley of Salt Lake. She spent two days with another sister, Mrs. Kenneth A. Wilson are announcing the enand approaching gagement marriage of their daughter, Carol Sue, to James Mortensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Mortensen of Payson. The couple will exchange vows Sept. 20, at the Manti LDS temple. They will be hon- - ored at a reception to take place the same evening in the Fayson Fourth Ward church. Miss Wilson and her fiance are graduates of Payson High School and the Payson LDS Seminary, and both have attended Brigham Young University. They plan to reside in Mrs. Dixon Completes Music Course Mr. and Mrs. Miles Loveless have received word of the birth of a baby daughter to their daughter and husband, Annette and David L. Isaac, in Washington, D. C. Their first child is to be called Susan Annette. The mother was queen of the Payson Harvest Days celebration about two years ago. The babys father, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Isaac, Salt Lake City, formerly of Spanish Fork, is attending medical school in Wash. D. C. A family reunion was held at the home of Mrs. Ella Graham recently. It was the first time in 7 years that all family members could get together. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bellamy and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirkpatrick and families from Casper, Wyoming; Mr. and Mrs. Don Fry and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Graham and families from Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Don Graham, U. S. Navy, San Francisco. Mrs. Geneve Pickering plans to leave Sunday for Kemmerer, Wyo., where she will be employed for the winter, and will reside near her sister, Mrs. Hulda Rawson, and family. Mrs. Pickering s son, Michael D. Pickering, has been home on leave from the Navy and has now repored back to San Diego, Calif. He is scheduled to leave for Japan in the near future. Her daughter, Jean, and husband, Capt. Paul Jarvis, and five children arrived during the celebration from Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Jarvis plans to reside in Spanish Fork fcr several weeks while her husband returned to his Army base. Later they will go to Germany for a long term assignment. 465-201- children. Will Hold An estimated 3,000 high school seniors from throughout the state will get a taste of life on a college campus Saturday, September 21 Occasion will be the fifth annual High School Day sponsored by the University of Utah. The event is staged annually to acquaint Utah high school students with the educational opportunities available at iheir state university. Activities for the day will begin at 2.30 p.m. with registration on the west lawn of the University Union when University President A. Ray Olpin will welcome the seniors to the campus. Representatives of 15 colleges and departments of the s University will discuss the eoures of study available at the U during college preview conferences at 3:00 p.m. The University offers 72 for majors undergraduates tanging from accounting to zoology. Information and open house sessions will follow at 4;30 p.m. Topisc at these meetings will include financial aid and scholarships, ROTC, Council and Pan Hellenic Council. The visitors will take the spotlight at 5:00 p.m. for a talent show and at 6.00 p.m. they will be guests of the University for a dinner on the Union west lawn. Seats have been reserved in the Ute stadium for the visitors where at 8:15 p.m. they will watch the opening kickoff of the 1GG3 football season for the Redskins and the Beavers of Oiegon State University. Despite the loss of Inter-Fraterni- ty Thur Sept. 18th has been named by Margaret Ann Taylor, recent Utah County Dairy Princess, for her marriage to Richard Wignall. Mr. and Frs. Russell Hillman and two children stopped in Payson to visit relatives and enjoy the celebration when to their home in California. The couple will be honored at a reception afterward in the ward amusement hall. The bride elect attended Utah State University in Logan last year. The benedict has also had one year at the Logan school, and is now employed in Salt Lake City.
