Mr. Haas was the father of Lewis Haas local business man He was born Oct. 4, 1875, at Webster Co., Nebraska, a son of William and Matilda Willis Haas. Bagley; sisters, Mrs. Ethel Mae Hudson, Miss Ella Jayne Gatley; a brother, William John Gatley and a half brother, Heber Brent Bagley, all of Payson. ; until when they moved they lived many years while he was superintendent of Electric Light Plant at Douglas, Wyo. After he retired, Mr. Haas and his wife moved to Payson and two years ago moved to Price, where they made their home with a son, Darrell Haas. Two months ago, they move d to Casper, where they resided with a daughter, Mrs. Esther 1921, to Wyo., where the LDS church. Surviving are the fallowing uncles and aunts: Mr. and Mrs. Grover Montague, Mrs. Ella Cowan, Mr, and Mrs. Arthur Hendrickson, Payson; Mr. and Mrs. Jess Porter. Mr. and Mrs. George C. Waering, Salt Lake. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p. m. at Keith Jolley Mortuary by Bis-o- p Paul Hurst of Payson Fourth Ward. (Mike) Montague of Payson have returned from Corpus Cristi, Texas, where they visited with a son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Monte W. Montague and their baby son, William Lionel, who was bom July 19 at the Naval station. The babys father, second class Petty Officer, a dental technician, is attending a laboratory school at the present time. The Montague couple were accompanied home by Kolette, a junior at Payson High School, who has spent the summer with her brother in" Texas and Anitra, who took a plane to Texas shortly after the departure of her parents. Also enjoying the trip was young David dHaulst of Odgen, brother of Mrs. Monte Montague, Birthdays of Mrs. Owen Loveless and her son, Blaine Loveless, Payson were celebrat ed Sunday at the Loveless home. Family members gathered for the event were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Loveless and family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Loveless and family, all of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Don Christensen and family, Odgen; Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Loveless and family, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Loveless, Payson. They worked on their books and community service, reporter, Debra Burton. Funeral Saturday at 260 E. South Temple in Salt Lake City for Dr. Lester Alanson Stevenson, noted surgeon and father of C. E. Stevenson of Payson. He died on his 87th birthday, early Thursday morning at his home in Holiday following an illness of several months. A native of Salt Lake City, he was born on Aug. 10, 1874 to Edward and Emily Williams Stevenson, Dr. Stevenson married Bertha Ester Starley Dec. 17, 1902 in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She died Oct. 17, 1957. Survivors include sons and daughters, Mrs. Reed E. Holt, Mrs. Walter J. (Elaine) Dr. Pernon L. Stevenson, Dr. Elbert Stevenson, Dr. J. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Noel Reece and Miss Mary Jones. The Wardwells and the Joneses were also guests at a patio supper given at the home of 'Mr. and Mrs. Reece Jones in Tooele and were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Jones, Payson. To complete their visit with all members of the family, the Wardwells were joined by Mrs. Norma Jones and Mary Jones in a trip to Lancaster, Calif., where they wpre guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H.
