The Superintendent presented a progress report on the new Spanish Fork High school as was reported by Harold Prestwich of the Rosenlof Construction Company, on April 3, 1961. The report included the following information: We are now farming and pouring the concrete beams in the gymnasium area. In the industrial Arts area the masonry has been in progress for approximately two an a half weeks, and there are eleven brick layers and six mason tenders on the job at the present time. The concrete floors are now completed in the science area. We are setting steel joists and pouring concrete floors in the administration, kitchen and classroom areas. The 'metal door frames and roof joists are on the job for the entire project. At present there are three electricians and three plumbers on the job and their work is also progressing very nicely. The Clerk presented a letter from Paul K. Walker, President of the Springville High School Art Association, extending a special invitation to the Board to attend and enjoy the display during the month of April. Mr. Walker also requested consideration for finacial help in this most worth-whil- e project. A motion was made by Leo A. Crandall, seconded by Glade Stone, that the Board approve an appropriation of $150.00 for the project. Motion unanimous, The Superintendent made a report to the board on information received at the recent Administrators Conference held under the direction of the State Department of Education, which include several projections and possibilities for future programs in Nebo school district. He stated that state Superintendent Ball encouraged districts to conduct pilot studies for curriculum improvement. Stansfield Superintendent read a letter from J. C. Superintendent of Provo City schools, expressing appreciation and gratitude for letting us use two of your school buses during the emergency suddenly created in Mof-fit- t, Provo. The Board and Superintendent discussed various budget items under consideration for the coming year and the board instructed the Superintendent to further crystalize and organize the information for the next Board meeting.
