Show The Paysok, Chronicle, Payson, Utah THE BELL RINGS THURSDAY, JULY 14, 1960 SANTAGUIN-TINTI- Santaquin News By Del If1 hudson The Santaquin Tintic Old Folks party held Wednesday was a success. There were approximately 120 people attending. They enjoyed a movien at the Huish Theater in Pay-soand returned to Santaquin for a turkey dinner. A delightful program was held after the dinner. Prizes were awarded, Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Dickenson received a prize for the couple being married the longest which was 61 years; Mr. Jesse Holladay, 87, was the oldest man present; Mi's. Ellen Van Ausdal, the oldest lady at 87; Mrs. Emma Painter had the of distinction having the in youngest fact she rad two in two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Holladay are of Riverton, Wyoming, visiting at the home of Mr great-grandchil- d, Since our teiepnone rang shortly betore 5:UU a.m. (my daughters alarm for getting up to pick raspberries) Ive been doing battle my physical, screaming for more sleep my mental, torturing me to get up and get this job done before the duties of the day overtake me. After a good argument from both sides the w.nning punch a special trip to Payson if I procrastinated versus delivery by my most gracious deliverer of the past, Cora Olsen, decided me, so here goes. Im still looking forward to the day when this doesnt seem like such a job and occasionally, in an effort to cheer I recall a quotation myself, which goes something like this, If you have a difficult duty to perform, do it the best you can and eventually (what I wonder is how long can eventually be) it will become easy not that the nature of the job changes but your capacity to do it will change. And I know that that does happen. Take ironing for instance, time was when I hated to iron and little did I think the day would come when I would look forward to it as the most restful chore of the day but is has (thats one round for television). If you can possibly spare some time to work on one of our building projects, do it. Your physical self may feel worse momentarily but the uplift to your mental will be worth the effort maybe even to your physical. My Chief Critic hopes to become physically fit thru working down there, providing both he and the job lasts that long. And If dont be nobody asks you to work ask them. Theyll be glad to have and Mrs. Howard Holladay. Mrs. Albert Hudson was pleasantly surprised Saturday night when friends and relatives came to celebrate her birthday. Present were Mr. and Mrs. R. G.
