Seemed to be shining out over the water. I stopped to ask Whitey what went on. He took me down to liis tt pond and pointed out a bulb -r- igged up on a pole about three feet above the surface. The light was attracting thousands of insects for the ducks to eat. Seemed kind of odd to me -- but Whitey was enthusiastic. Best idea I ever heard of, he claims. Winners receiving boxes of chocolates were Helen Chatwin and Allie Platt for a duet; Bonnie Tnomas, reading; Don, Gary, and Jerry Nelson, trumpet trio. Other prizes were given to: Genola for having most members present; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Draper, oldest couple present; Eugene and Rowine Sorenson, youngest married couple; to Mrs. Peterson, Santaquin, oldest widow present; to' Santaquin Second Ward for greatest increase over last years attendance, 2 to '35.
