Convention Bv Della Hudson The Santaquin Civic club will hold a meeting and program at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lor-en.Clark on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 8 p.m. County Commissioner Sterling Jones will be guest speaker . He was scheduler to speak on Feb. 4, but the meeting was postponed because Mr. .Jones was unable to attend. -) A ladies Riding Club will be organized in Santaquin. Temple Rites Culminating a romance begun in the Central States LDS Mission, Miss Marie Jackson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey P. Jackson, West Payson, became the bride of Eugene L. Choate, son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Choate, Ogden. Vows were repeated January 30 at the Logan LDS Temple, with a reception given Tlaursday, February 5, at the Payson Third-Weward chapel. The bride, who returned from her mission last October, is a graduate of Payson High school. She plans to remain with her parents during the coming months, while the bridegroom continues service with the Army. He leaves for overseas embankment camp Feb. 10th. Chosing a bridal gown of white satin cut princess style with long sleeves and rounded neckline, the bride wore a fingertip veil attached to a pearl tiara. She carried a bouquet of red rose buds tied with a white satin ribbon. Mrs. Lois Sorensen, American Fork, sister of the bride, served as matron Of honor, and Sarah Kay, Mona; Sally Hook, Ogden; Fontella and Enid Jackson, also of the bride, stood as bridesmaids. They wore form-al- s in pastel hues with corsages to match the shades of their gowns. DeMar Choate, Clearfield, was best man to his brother. , For the occasion, Mrs. Jack-so- n wore a frock of plum color and Mrs. Choate wore powder blue. Each complimented her costume with a corsage of roses. Mrs. Merle Choate, Clearfield attended the brides book and acted as hostess. A program of readings and music was directed by Bishop Delphian Hiatt, who acted as master of ceremonies. The couple plan td make their home in Salt Lake City during the coming four weeks, where Mr. Wilsbn is receiving schooling from the telephone company. Their permanent place of residence is unknown to them at the present time. Nuptials were performed in the bishops room at Payson ward chapel by Byron Thomas, bishop of Spring Lake ward, a friend of the family. A reception followed. Receiving guests, the bridal party stood before an arrangement of tall white tapers in floor standards tied with pale green ribbons, with bouquets of First-Fift- h pink stocks and yellow accacia placed on either side. Soft piano music was played by Carolyn Livingston as the bridal party and parents received the gests. Gowned in white satin, the brides dress was trimmed with pearl beading and her veil fell from a pearl studded crown. At her throat she wore a six strand pearl neckless. The floor length gown was long sleeved and the skirt featured - small over lapping folds where it was attached to the bodice. The bridal bouquet was of red roses centered with a gold throated orchid. Charming young Coralee Wilson, sister of the bridegroom, and Diane Daley, niece of the bride, were gowned in yellow and green frocks and stood ah flower girls. They carried tiny bouquets of carnations. Feminine attendants wore yellow and green formats and held Mrs. nosegays of carnations. Morton White, Laramie, Wyo., sister of the bride, was matron of honor; Miss Jean Thomas, of Spring Lake, was maid of honor, and misses Rae Ann Hill, Mary Lee Selman, Bee Staheli and Mrs. Donna Butler Stewart were bridesmaids.
