Classes of 1911-1- 5 Hold Reunion By Margrette Martin Taylor Graduates of the classes of attended the Alumni meeting of the Payson High school, Friday, Jan. 23 after the 31st Founders day program. Heber Curtis presided and many former students participated. Principal and Superintent, Melvin Wilson, was with us and was paid some very fine tributes by all present. The first class had 9 graduates and last year the high school graduated their 3000th student according to Prin- cipal Louis Bates. Mr. Wilson read some letters that had been sent to Mr. Curtis by graduates of the classes who could not be present. Those in attendance also told of interesting experiences of yester-year. It was interesting to hear where all the different class mates were living and what they were doing, also of their various families. In attendance were Heber Curtis of Payson; Sue Simons of Salt Lake City; Irene Simons Chanderlain of Ogden; Harold Simmons of Payson; Guy Johnson, Santaquin and Edward Flanders of Salt Lake City, all of the class of 1913. Margaret Taylor Snelson, Payson; Louis A. Bates of Payson and Margrette Martin Taylor of Salem of the class of 1914; Merlyn Perry Win-war- d and Zula Smith Tagge of Salt Lake City; and Lyndon Crook of the 1915 class. , The organization will now be permanent and plans to meet each year. The officers are Heber Curtis, president; Louis Bates, vice chairman and Lyndon Crook as secretary. |
