Staff writers HURRICANE— The North Sanpete Lady Hawks had a tough week dropping three contests to go to 5 on the North Sanpete lost to at home on Grantsville and then lost Tuesday road games Thursday at Pine View and at Hurricane on Friday The Lady Hawks have had avera tough time offensively aging less than 39 points in their night six games this year The only win for the Lady Hawks thus far was in their second game when they outscorcd Union The Lady Hawks played a competitive game against Grantsville last Tuesday tying the first and last quarters and losing a close third and quarter by one point What the Lady Hawks could not overseccome was a disappointing ond quarter where they allowed Grantsville to tally 13 points while only producing four for themselves “Grantsville had a good we don’t have a lot of press experienced ball handlers” said Lady Hawk head coach Cheryl Hawks Nicole Callahan points to Hadley and JesHolly Christensen sica Aagard both had 12 points in the game and Richfield jumped out quickly in the dual meet with a pin and a couple of minor decisions to take a lead However Austin Pieper ( 103) made quick woik of his Wildcat with a pin in the first period quickly reversed the fates and ended what was probably the fastest moving match of the night w ith a pin Team score for Richfield With Manti down Templar Ryan Fow les ( 40) ran score before pinning up a his opponent for a Templar lead Last match of the day was Chans Lund (171) Lund made the pm in the second petiod to seal a victory Pretty successful At the Juab team meet no individual awards were given as the intent of this type of meet is to compete as a team If there had been medals awarded three to one win and two Snow College held off the Golden Eagles of The College of Eastern Utah in a
