Show November Gunnison Valley News Salina Sun i' Pinata Festival returns to Snow December2 n ' f n v '-- sixth annual Pinata Festival opens on Thursday December 2 at the Snow College Green wood Student Center The fesli val is a major for a range of children's programs which impact children in Ephraim City and Sanpete County This year marjcs the return of the popular Mexican Dinner during Friday night's festivities Proceeds from the dinner as well as from the purchase of the pinatas and food on Saturday's events pro-funding for local proAdelante such as Child Literacy grams Team Abuse Prevention and community recreation and education programs which serve these deserving children available ide ver out rn ere can ies but an- - the h programs centered in the more populated areas the dollars rarely trickle into these smaller communities This year though the industries and businesses in Sanpete County seem to be doing a slow rebound after several years of financial hardships there is still a feeling of caution Traditionally these businesses have supported which address the many programs needs of those less fortunate such as thcTixxl Bank and the Pinata Festival “While there isstill tremendous heartfelt support the dollars are hard to with many people contributing to its success” says retiring Ephraim City Councilman Cliff Birrcll The festival is (he brainchild of Bim come by” states one festival volunteer The festival schedule includes: Dec 2 — Pinatas set up to be on display at the Snow College Greenwood Center Dec 3 — Authentic Mexican Dinner and entertainment from 7 pm to9pm Pinatas will be on display all day Dec 4 — Family fun and activities from 9 am to5 pm Santa’s official isil to Ephraim City Live entertainment pinata breaking and food!
