during a bad storm and your visibility is limited You slow down and you are going along gripping the steering wheel so tight your knuckles ate while Then all of a sudden not ten feet in front of you is another vehicle traveling slower with no lights on You have to hit your brakes and hope another car behind you doesn't slam into your trunk Or even better a car passes you with no lights on into a fog bank and then just stops because the di iver can’t see They don’t slow down before entering the fog Instead they go into it and then panic One of your best defenses during low light conditions is to put your headlights on so you become more visible to other drivers notice a lot is One other thing that drivers don’t know how to dim their lights at night You must dim your headlights within 500 feet of an approaching vehicle and within 300 feet when coming tip behind another his means on the interstate vehicle as well as highways Also il our lights are on dim and everyone keeps Bashing their headlights at you it means you probably need to lake your vehicle in and have It doesn't take your lights long and it's not expensive So remember to drive safely and when in stormy or low light conditions turn your lights on so other drivers can see you Thank you to all by Trooper Terry C Smith As members of the Utah Highway Patrol we would like to take a minute to say thanks To all the
