Must the family vacation take school time? I’ve had students explain to me that their parents let them “sleep in” because they had been to a late party the night before These parents opened the door and let the thief steal from these children Oh yes The teacher is inevitably asked to allow the child to “make up” the missed time And teachers will try to come up with the pages to read or the work sheet to do or the exercise to complete But the discussions are The gone The questions asked which clarified the lessons aren’t repeated hands-o- n activities have been put away It would not be reasonable to expect a teacher to reenact an entire missed day for one child an so with all the best intentions most teachers will tell you that a child cannot really make up a missed day Studies show that students with a history of high absenteeism have an extremely high dropout rate Habitual absenteeism leads to academic frustration loss of and lailure Parents must be depended upon to Protect your children Don’t let keep absenteeism to an absolute minimum the thief get a foot in the door is a There ££-X-- Ryan Burr earns Eagle On December 6 1995 Ryan Burr of Craig and Jackie Burr of Salina was presented his Eagle Scout Award by Bishop Don son Okerlund and 2nd Counselor Lynn Robins of the Salina Fourth Ward For his Eagle Project Ryan designed the landscaping and planted trees and shrubs at the Stake Center F0ysftt2 (Ttenjs Pa- vilion tJZL'$f pilrstvi Ryan a junior at North Sevier High School plays on the football basketball and baseball teams and in several school orgaparticipates nizations including National Honor Society FBLA and Talent Search His grandparents are Max and Carol Jacobsen and Wayne and Arda Burr both of Salina o Past Scoutmasters Jorgensen and gratulations AZ SA sCf j)'CbU Andreasen Christmas Ray Party was held Sunday December 17 1995 at the Salina American Legion Hall There were 112 family members there They had a pot luck Qjccbr Mr and Mrs Sheron Harward Deceased Probate Number 953600038 persons having claims against to above estate are required present them to the undersigned or to the Clerk of the Court on or before the 6th day of March 1996 or said claims shall be forever barred s Rex A Christensen Personal Representative 180 North 100 East Salina Utah 84654 Published in the Salina Sun December 6 13 and 20th 1995 All the v ‘Wv--f- r FO Sevier Valley Hospital 1100 N Main Richfield Utah in Springville -
