Well we can answer this they have none seems to be worrying Everyone that Bob Moon’s privacy was invaded Now we ask you where is the justice in all of this? We know we are not perfect and we may have said things that we may now regret but when they were said we didn’t know we were sharwith an unining our comments vited audience Bob Moon stated on the KSL News that his purpose in taping was to stop phone conversations He then turned gossip in Gunnison around and invited people into his home to listen to his tapes Now we ask you is he not guilty of doing just exactly what he said he was He says people trying to stop should not gossip and he may- be right but who is he to decide what is fact or simply someone gossip stating their opinion on something or someone As far as we know we still have or Freedom of Speech Someone finally found out what Bob Moon was doing and went to Police Chief Joel L Christensen to see if anything could be done to stop Mr Moon He informed that he didn’t think there was Afterwards he was given a tape with him and his comments concerning wife The comments did not sit well with them and they let the instead This is why we as citizens would like to share our concerns Was this with the city council reasons or done for professional was this done for personal reasons? Officer Blake Edwards was asked if he thought he could check into this and see if anything could be done to keep Bob Moon from disOfficer persing anymore tapes Edwards checked with Lhc County Attorney and asked for a search warrant which was issued for Friday After checking further they decided to wait until Monday to check with the state attorney He then gave them the go ahead on the search warrant The Sheriffs purpose and tentions were not to make a big arrest but to try to stop the taping and if nothing else to let the people know what was going on You should also know that no one is claiming to be an expert on the contents of the tapes unless it There is a lot of is Mr Moon speculation as to what might be on them People are guessing about what conversations they have had that might have been taped The information and contents of those tapes have been kept confidential by the county attorney If Bob Moon were truly the outstanding citizen and town hero he has made himself to be he would simply ask the County Attorney to erase the tapes Mr Moon has been the cause of a lot of hurt pain sorrow sleepless nights etc because of his thoughtWe have learned less actions several lessons from this first of all we can no longer talk on the phone without finding out what kind of phone the other person has Another lesson is that there will not always be laws to protect innocent people’s rights and privacy We do want you to know that Mr Moon has made the Sheriffs Department re install his scanner and taping equipment so that when he overdoes it he can once again as back theruse his eavesdropping apy Sincerely Name withheld workshop will include such Workshops Self Desubjects as Eliminating Adult Survivors feating Behavior of Abuse Right BrainLeft Brain Teaching children about the birds and the bees Positive stressMak-init Work for You and Your Child GuyTender Father Single Parenting Resources and more For questions contact the Utah or Arlaine Austin PTA at Tough Weeds consume large amounts Studies have shown that some weeds use up to three times as much One water as do common crops sunflower plant will use about the same amount of water as two and one half com plants One common mustard will use the same amount of water as four wheat plants Webster Dictionary - Definition - One who stands Eavesdropper near the window or door of a house to catch what is said within doors one who tries to hear private conversation Moral - The law prescribing moral duties and teaching right and wrong Common cal Sense sound practi- judgement Logic - The principles on which and all valid reasoning depends which may be applied to test the legitimacy of every conclusion I feel the problem in this situno ation is lack of education common sense acting without logic a taunting rebellious flagrant disregard to society and the law There are the uncaring who just go on The ones who turned this in and keep it going are the one’s who have used the system to abuse the They made sevrights of privacy eral peoples privacy public when they decided to gossip on the airways then as perpetrators do they put the blame on the person to who they think is already down sorry you missed your aim I might have had some very hard blows such as - the poisoning of my dog Jan and some of the other cheap shots that you and I know of My strength comes as you have never seen before I won’t sell my soul The accepting will be yours not mine Public informing: taunting stirring up emotion theses are the hateful gossiping vicious uncaring vain They cry the loudest when they feel violated after all they got caught at the task of slandering there friends and neighbors I haven’t found this to be limited Its very appareni in the every day living in Sanpete Such is the bickering in Centerfield Council meetings Let’s get with it and grow a brain The only victims are those to the persons who have the ones being phones talked about and myself The officer who said he was a victim definitely is but it isn’t from anything in this issue The Major concern should be education there is a old saying: “Ignorance of the law is no excuse” Does this apply when you are the law? Was this the issue when the judge signed the search warrant? To come to my home and talking cordless you don’t understand or you dis- agree Proverbs 23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool for the will despise the wisdom of the words I have not eavesdropped to the definition of webster or to the let- ter of the law I was in my home when this crap came over my public airways I believe written on your cordless it has the words (privacy not There must be a logiguaranteed) cal reason they put this on your cordless phone Maybe so you can search my home? There must be privacy to eavesI believe the question of drop! it seems morals should boomerang that if morals being right and wrong I use good the fool wasn’t me judgement and I broke no laws I guess you could change the webster dictionary as well as the laws To conform public airways are just what it says When Mr Edwards was violating my rights I asked him if he ever watched Barbara Walters? There was a Nationwide broadcast on just this issue and I said to the Officers several times that they were making a big mistake Blake Edwards comment was - “Bob Moon this is not Barbara Walter’s Land your in Utah! How well I have had this pointed out to me when your in Rome do It's my way or the as the Romans The stand in Centerfield Highway named I had was appropriately Freedom of choice and law abiding only counts if you go by the rules of a few Praise the Lord for we shall over come It is a sad day when the tables are turned the truth is changed to protect the flagrant the things I heard on the scanner are not limited to cordless phones I enjoy the police aircraft etc The CB and cordless phones are one of the same just different frequencies How could someone listen to this and fell good about themselves? Very good question my answer is I would get very irriI couldn’t! tated at some of the things that were same have discussed These were the that type of conversations caused my family and myself great injustices Something else you should all be aware of is what is said on the cordless phone is admissible in court such as Slander cases Defamation cases and even criminal cases I listen to the scanner now and have for the biggest part of twenty some years I have even helped the law apprehend my son through listening to the scanner I know this is terrible to turn in your own son but I feel better when I obey the laws To give the right to the law to break the law what is this coming to? I don’t see any separation in the Rodney King issue and this issue He was physically beat and I emoDiscrimination wasn’t tionally color in either incident There’s a few in this valley as in other communities who push the buttons They don’t care who is hurt but they cry the louder when they don’t have the insurance Well the insurance in this is have done no wrongs Can you safely say the same?
