Show Council sponsors Doodles Mime Co Arts The Gunnison Vahey Arts will present the Doodles Mime Company on Thursday September 3rd at 7:30 pm in the Gunnison Valley High School Council Auditorium Doodles Mime incorporates elements of facial expressions and body gestures to convey human emotions The Doodles Mime Company will feature Joe Pitti and Darlene Casanova at the evening performance at the Gunnison Valley High School and also the Mime Company will perform for the Gunnison Elementary students and also do a workshop for those interested Mime is an art form that dates back to Greek and Roman drama The portrayal of characters and situations through wordless gestures and body movement communicates to the audience elements of human condition in a universal language and dance into exceptionally vibrant original works By emphasizing comedy Doodles develops each concert through vignettes of everyday life rendering even the mundane intriguing for audiences of all ages Pitti began his career in his hometown miming in comers Lake City of Brooklyn New York local clubs and on street Before moving to Salt Pitti was selected as a principal with Stefan s Mimedance performing During Gunnison Valley High School for the first time Mr Roger Young is the new music director of the Gunnison Mr Young Valley High School backcomes with an exceptional ground of experiecne including the fact that his bands and choirs have won state honors while he was held concerning some of the problems both past and present that plague the growth of music in the valley and possible solutions were discussed Some committees were formed including a Booster Organizing Committee There have been so many expressing the regret of not being able to attend the last general meeting — that a 2nd followup
