following a short illness The remains were brought to Gunnison for funeral services and burial Mr Riggs was born in December 5 1886 the son of William R Riggs and Priscilla Barnhurst Riggs Sr He came to Gunnison as ayoungman and resided here most of his life The past few years he had resided in California returning to the valley for visits October 8 1913 he married Muriel Snow in the Manti LDS Temple She died December 11 1957 Mr Riggs was a farmer and active member of the LDS Church He was a High Priest Also active on a community level he held several offices and at one time was Gunnison
