At the end of that time t is presumed the judge will render a judgement on the case. During the severe wind storm Wednesday afternoon, fire was discovered at the home of James F. Hiatt Jr. un the Springlake road. The fire department made a quick run and soon had the fire extinguished with cheirVoals. The damage to the residence was slight. Boon after the fire, Aliss Rowena Robinson, daughter of Air. and Mrs. E. E. Robinson, close neighhbors of the Hiatts, miraculously escaped death. She was alone at home and touched the electric switch in the bathroom when a current of 3200 voits passed through her body, entering her hand and passing out through the leg, both being quite severely burned. She was rendered unconcious for some time. Later her sereanus attracted the attention of her father and brother working in the field some distance away and medical aid was given her. Evidently some electrical disturbance in that vicinity was the contributing agency in the Hiatt fire and also the accident to Aliss Robinson. Instead of the regular meeting of the Lions Club on Monday night, the lub members and their ladies F. II. Cellventtra, a former resident of Tayson, died very suddenly early Friday morning at his home in Springville from a heart attack. He was a brother-in-laof Mrs. Henry Erlandson and the family resided here for several years. During that time Mr. Cellventtra was City Alarshall of Payson and was very active in the I. O. O. F. Lodge. He wms at one time Grand Alaster of the Utah Iodge. He has been marshall at Springville for a numlber of years, resigning last January. The case in the Fourth District Court is the outgrowth of the filing by the Strawberry Water Users association on 35 acre feet of water of Spanish Fork River to be impounded in the Cold Spring area and used as an equalizing reservoir to furnish additional water for power purposes particularly during the winter. The water companies objected to the filing and it was later amended to make the storage season between September 30th and June 15th, on the supposition that storage of water between these dates would not be detrimental to irrigation. To this the companies also objected, but this filing of 35 acre feet from the unappropriated water of the river was al- Poultry Producers lowed by the State Engineer. CLT Users File Preferred Claim The Strawberry Water User's Association filed Thursday, a preferred claim for their money in the closed State Bank of Payson. This was done after a rather extensive investigation as to the pros and cons in the case. Advice was sought of those ablest advised in the matter and the council was quite unanamous in favor of filing such a claim. By taking this action the Board of Directors at least freed themselves of a legal responsibility as the board members could be held personally responsible to the government for the full waived, if later it is proven that this A PER YEAR is preferred money and it as such. they failed to claim Democratic Ladies To Meet Friday At the call of Mrs. Mary Chairman of the Democratic Club of Payson, a meeting Democratic ladies of the city held in the Council Chambers Curtis, Ladies for all will be Friday at 8 p. m. taken over the Arrangements will there be made of Aligliaccios orchestra for all who desire to attend a gathand will conduct it Saturday night.
