Show rillS GARLAND Page 8 Counties Plot Attack On Rat Populations With Poison Bait DISTRICT AH northern Utah counties are cooperating in a rat baiting campaign beginning March 30 and during the first week bait will supplied at a special low price cf 15 cents per pound the county agent has announced It is important that everyone put out bait The Warfarin bait which is being used must be a- vailable to rats for over a period beweeks ot 10 days to two cause if they do not eat it for this long of a period their blood builds up a resistance and it win not kill them It is very effective if placed where the rats can get it and they seem to like it very well The poison is being mixed with corn meal rolled harlcy and oats After this week March 30 to April 4 the bait will only be in the county aeent’s office and the ag department at Bear River nigh School at a cost of 35c per pound The cost of the bait during the campaign week will be 15c per pound and are the county commissioners cooperating in paying the bal- ' ance Bait will be available in the following places: SerSimmons’ Beaver Dam vice Bear River City - Zincks Place Colllnston - Bell’s Cash Grocery DeweyviUe - Deweyville Service Garland - Don Limb’s Service Honeyville - Johnson’s Store West Fielding - II V Peck Co Ilowell - Howell Grocery Anderson’s Cash Penrose Store Plymouth Grocery Plymouth Portage - J D Ilawkes General Merchandise Riverside - Jay’s Service Tremonton - City offices and Utah Poultry Assn Bear River High School department f f I !
